We Are Currently Looking For A Groundworker to Join Our Team


We are seeking a highly motivated, committed and skilled individual to join our team as a Groundworker. The nature of the role will vary with each site, our previous works have included drainage, excavation , road & footway construction, concreting etc. Please look out our website for a more in depth view of our previous works Venturerconstruction.co.uk

A current CSCS card is mandatory

Preferably candidates should have Dumper & Roller tickets, and possess strong teamworking skills.

Candidates must have their own means of transport - However if Swindon based transport may be provided

Candidate can be either PAYE or Invoice

 

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Removing old drainage or other pipework systems
  • Leading any necessary demolition required to enable site work
  • Preparing the ground for the team to lay the foundations
  • Setting up the construction site
  • Digging trenches
  • Laying concrete
  • Laying pavements, driveways and kerbs
  • Installation of services
  • Construction of retaining walls

 

Qualifications:

  • CSCS Card
  • Any additional tickets or qualifications would be beneficial

 

Skills:

  • Be enthusiastic and hard-working
  • Have basic numeracy skills
  • Be able to work as part of a construction team
  • Be resilient to various weather conditions
  • Have physical strength and stamina
  • Be able to use architects’ drawings and structural engineers’ specifications
  • Know how to operate plant machinery, including trucks and excavators
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills
